The training department and trainees from BVS Blechtechnik took part in two training fairs on the first weekend in March. Both in Sindelfingen at the Realschule am Klostergarten and at the Jerg-Ratgeb-Realschule in Herrenberg, the BVS representatives were in great demand when it came to describing the training as a construction mechanic in more detail. The crowds of schoolchildren were huge. In Herrenberg, visitors initially stood right outside. The secondary school students took the opportunity to gain a first impression of a future training company from the 50 to 60 companies and educational institutions represented.
At the BVS Blechtechnik stand, two trainees were on site alongside the trainers. Patrick, a first-year apprentice, attended a careers fair two years ago as a pupil himself and was able to imagine very well what topics interest pupils when choosing an apprenticeship. He reported on the basic training in the first year of his apprenticeship, in which he produced a training piece that he worked on by filing, sawing, drilling and bending. His colleague Alicia, a second-year apprentice, mentioned that she was about to take her final exam part 1 (formerly the intermediate exam), in which she is allowed to build a workpiece in the practical part and is given tasks on materials science, among other things, in the theoretical part. The two also described how they help with production orders and work on the laser cutting and bending machines. During the 3 ½ -year apprenticeship to become a construction mechanic, they naturally also learn how to read technical drawings in order to assemble components for a wide range of industrial applications.
The training department at BVS would like to thank everyone for the great interest, the numerous discussions and the good organization on the day of the fair.
