IHK honors training ambassadors

In the past school year, our apprentice Fabian Schäfer was present at three schools as a training ambassador and informed pupils about the opportunities of vocational training as a construction mechanic. Together with other training ambassadors and senior ambassadors, our trainee was presented with a certificate for his commitment by the Böblingen Chamber of Industry and Commerce at a ceremony.

“With this project, young volunteers, together with the IHK, are helping companies in the district to find suitable applicants for their apprenticeships more easily in future,” emphasized Andreas Hadler, IHK District Chamber President, in his speech. There are currently 4,240 training ambassadors in the country. More than 12,500 people have been trained since the initiative was launched in 2011 and have thus helped other young people to find a career. In this way, the training ambassadors have reached more than 285,000 pupils in classes at 728 schools since the start of the project.

The BVS training management would like to thank Fabian Schäfer for his commitment in introducing the students to the training as a construction mechanic at BVS. BVS Blechtechnik has been supporting the training ambassador initiative of the Böblingen Chamber of Industry and Commerce since 2015; it is funded by the State Ministry of Economic Affairs and is based at the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
