To deliver sensitive components safely, BVS has developed component-specific transport racks that are precisely tailored to their shape, size and weight. The racks were designed and manufactured in-house, including surface protection and optimal stackability.

Normally, a Lissmac grinding machine requires two people: one to load the sheet metal parts and one to remove them. BVS took this idea further and equipped the machine in Schwerin with an intelligent conveyor belt. Now the sheets are returned automatically, so that one person can operate the entire grinding process.⏱ Result: higher utilisation, half the working time per part, shorter distances – greater efficiency with less effort.
- From welding robot to grinding robot
What to do when staff are in short supply but orders are high? In Schwerin, BVS quickly converted an existing welding robot into a grinding cell. With special devices and internally developed programming, the system now performs two work steps fully automatically: welding and then grinding – without intermediate storage or retooling.🤖 Result: production time reduced, occupational safety improved, flexibility increased.
