Efficient laser cutting of metal: precision for your projects

What is laser cutting?

Laser cutting is a high-precision thermal cutting process that uses a focused laser beam to cut metal with extreme accuracy. It is particularly popular when contour accuracy, repeatability and a clean cut edge are required – for example, in functional sheet metal components, laser parts or visually visible components.

Your advantages at a glance:

  • Maximum precision: burr-free cutting edges and maximum repeat accuracy for demanding components
  • Digital processes: From the STEP file to the finished cut – efficient and seamlessly networked
  • Fast implementation: Short delivery times thanks to automated production and state-of-the-art laser technology

BVS Blechtechnik is your professional partner for laser cutting of metal – fast, economical and with perfect results. Whether simple laser cuts or complex contours: we reliably shape your workpiece.

The laser cutting process

Our laser cutting systems work with powerful fibre lasers that cut even complex contours precisely and with minimal burrs. The sheet metal is melted locally and the molten material is removed by a gas stream – for precise cuts with minimal material loss.

Thanks to our fully automatic punching-laser combination machines (2 Trumpf TruMatic 6000Fiber and Amada EML-Z), additional processes such as countersinking, forming or thread cutting are also possible in a single production step – for maximum efficiency in thin sheet metal processing. The machine controls are equipped with integrated order and tool management, enabling a continuous digital manufacturing process.

CNC laser cutting at the highest level

Our machine fleet includes two Trumpf TruMatic 6000 Fiber machines and an Amada EML-Z, which combine punching and laser cutting in an automated process. Pure fibre laser systems such as the Amada Ventis 3015 AJ and the FOL 3015 also stand for the highest cutting quality, energy efficiency and speed.

All systems are fully integrated into our automated high-bay warehouse and process materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, steel, copper and brass – precisely, reliably and with repeatable accuracy. The machine controls are equipped with integrated order and tool management, enabling a continuous digital manufacturing process. The generous working area of up to 2500 x 1500 mm offers sufficient space even for large laser cuts.

Ordering and configuration

Save time and effort: you can order your laser parts via our (digital) interfaces or, if you prefer, via a DXF upload – quickly, securely and tailored to your project. Our team will check your drawings and requirements and, if you wish, will also take care of the technical design.

An intuitive configurator will also be available shortly, allowing you to configure sheet metal blanks online and submit enquiries directly.

Materials for laser cutting

BVS Blechtechnik processes a wide range of materials for laser cutting, including:

  • Stainless steel up to 4 mm
  • Steel up to 6 mm
  • Aluminium up to 8 mm
  • Copper and brass in defined thicknesses

Copper and brass are usually cut precisely to a thickness of approx. 3 mm, depending on the alloy and geometry. The high-quality cut enables virtually scratch-free processing, even with challenging geometries or sensitive surfaces.

Speed and efficiency

With up to 1,600 strokes per minute (during punching) and automated tool change systems, we achieve maximum speed while maintaining high process reliability. Our fully networked production with digital planning and material control reduces set-up times, speeds up processes and ensures fast delivery times – even for series production.

By combining state-of-the-art technology with experienced specialists, we ensure a smooth and punctual manufacturing process.

Environmentally friendly thanks to modern technology

Our modern laser cutting systems, such as the Amada Ventis 3015 AJ, are particularly energy-efficient and resource-saving. The integrated LBC technology ensures stable laser guidance with high beam intensity – for perfect results with minimal energy consumption. Through reduced material loss, digital process control and short distances, we actively contribute to sustainable metalworking.

Furthermore, at BVS Blechtechnik, we are committed to sustainable production principles, such as the use of green electricity, energy-efficient machines and optimised material utilisation with minimal waste. In this way, we make an active contribution to environmental protection in metalworking.

Frequently asked questions about laser cutting metal

What data do I need to provide for laser cutting?

For smooth processing, we ideally require your product data as a STEP file or in another common CAD format. Please ensure that all dimensions, bend lines and material specifications are clearly defined. Our experts will check your file in advance for technical feasibility.

What is the maximum size of my sheet metal part for laser cutting?

Our laser cutting systems process sheets with a maximum length of up to 2,500 mm and a width of 1,250 mm. Within this working range, we can precisely realise even complex geometries – whether simple laser cuts, filigree contours or prefabricated components for subsequent bending.

What laser technology is used at BVS – and what does that mean for my product?

We rely on modern fibre lasers with high laser power, which ensure precise and virtually burr-free cutting of materials. This means: precise cut edges, minimal reworking and maximum repeat accuracy – ideal for series production, contract manufacturing and demanding applications in industrial metal processing.
