Children’s laughter meets sheet metal processing

Everyone is hearing about it in the press and the media right now, and many parents are experiencing it firsthand: there aren’t enough childcare options. Sometimes it’s a matter of space, but often there’s a shortage of childcare providers…

There is often a simple solution to the space problem.

Many companies have vacant office space that they are not currently using. This raises the question: What should a small-to-medium-sized business do with unused office space?

BVS Blechtechnik has come up with a plan regarding this issue. The past few summer months were used to convert the vacant rooms into a daycare center for children under 3. Since early October, the facility has featured three group rooms, a nap room, a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a fenced-in garden area.

On October 3, 2024, the big day finally arrived: the first five children were able to explore the new rooms and make them their own. The children and their caregiver are looking forward to welcoming more children, an option open to all children in Böblingen.

Who can you contact?
BVS Blechtechnik has leased the space to the Kunstwerk daycare center, and the TUPF association
(= Tages- und Pflegeeltern e.V. Kreis Böblingen) helps arrange childcare spots.
