Gas tank exchange – two truck-mounted cranes
Two truck-mounted cranes, a 30,000-liter nitrogen tank – and me in the middle of it all.
Thursday, May 22, at BVS Blechtechnik: no ordinary working day.
Our liquid nitrogen tank had to be replaced – and that was only possible with heavy equipment. Two mobile cranes were used to swing out the old tank and place the new one – now with a capacity of 30,000 liters – with pinpoint accuracy.
A very special opportunity for me as a marketing employee:
I was not only able to document the entire process, but also accompany it directly from the crane working platform, professionally secured of course. Airy heights, a direct view of the floating tank, camera in hand – adrenaline meets industrial photography.

Hi, I’m the new guy at BVS Blechtechnik.
Coat Master Flex – my name. My mission? Measure powder coating like a pro.
In the past, the parts had to be baked before anyone could say anything about the layer thickness.
Me? Do that first.
Even before it gets hot, I know whether everything fits – without touching anything.
This really saves time (at least half an hour per part), nerves and rework.
I am an area meter. No more spot measurements. I check many places at the same time – quickly, precisely, reliably.
Whether 5 or 300µm (before the oven) or up to 500µm (afterwards) – I can see everything.
I am cloud-based, always connected.
The order number? I have it at hand, of course.
I know which job I belong to – it couldn’t be more efficient.
In short: I digitize the powder coating.

Commissioning of new air compressors
Commissioning of new air compressors: Today we can finally introduce ourselves:
We are called DRYPOINT RA and are part of the new air compressors in the BVS Blechtechnik production team.
What can we do/what do we do?
We are significantly more energy efficient than our predecessors, for comparison:
We are at the start with 12.5 m³ / min, while our predecessors only managed 6 m³ / min. Our team consists of two machines, whereas our predecessors worked with three.
Our work shift is organized in pairs on a weekly basis, whereas our predecessors always worked in pairs and a third machine rested. ;-)
This means that two of us can manage the work of three appliances in the past and one of us is always on standby as a backup.
A few more interesting facts about us:
- We consist of 2 units each, i.e. the air compressors and the corresponding refrigeration dryers.
- The higher-level control system (=airleader) also ensures energy efficiency with alternating pressure control.
- The speed-controlled pressure can be kept constant.
- Thanks to the improved encapsulation, we are significantly quieter, quieter and easier to maintain than our predecessors.
The heat feedback of the air compressor uses the waste heat generated to reuse energy efficiently. This heat is used specifically to bring the process baths in our powder coating to the required temperature. This is energy efficiency in action.
We are very pleased with our beautiful, new, elevated space with plenty of visibility in the middle of the punching/laser area. This space has the advantage that we are not exposed to such high ambient temperatures as our predecessors.
We look forward to many years of cooperation.

Today we would like to introduce another new member of the production team.
My name is LTL 1280 and I was produced by Apfel GmbH. I am a smart storage tower solution.
What qualifications do I have?
- My tray depth is 813 mm. This allows me to store large quantities of material with a narrow shelf width.
- I can carry a load of 500 kg per shelf, enabling safe handling of heavy loads.
- My total load can be max. 66t.
- I need a manageable amount of space: floor area: 1580 w x 2924t (4.61m2) and can be supplied in different heights from 2.5m to 15m.
✅Conclusion: I am smart, efficient, automated, bring structure to your production hall and help to save space, time and nerves. I am delighted to be part of the BVS team and hope to work with you for many years to come!

BVS Blechtechnik discovers BITZER Kühlmaschinenbau
On 03.02.2025 the time had come. Together with their trainers, our BVS trainees were able to discover the company BITZER Kühlmaschinenbau in Rottenburg-Ergenzingen.
It was a very interesting insight into a different industrial company for everyone. The 2nd year industrial mechanic trainees took it in turns to lead the 2 1/2 hour tour of the company. The BVS team was given a detailed insight into the areas: Training, machining, assembly, quality management, painting and warehousing.
Many thanks to the entire BITZER team for the cooperation and the exciting insight!
